It is our desire at Village Chapel to make worship a lifestyle not just a weekly event.  It is out of the daily worship of our hearts that our Worship Celebration or any worship event is filled with a greater joy and understanding of our Lord Jesus and the love our heavenly Father has for us.  We primarily use contemporary worship songs as the people we are asking God to bring to us are not people who have attachments to the hymns of the past. It is through new songs, some our people are being given by Holy Spirit, that we are brought into a fresh anointing of praise.  Whether we are singing about God’s love and goodness, or expressing our love and praise to Him through song, it is our desire to proclaim God’s worthiness to each other.

We believe that everything that takes place in our Worship Celebration on Sundays is part of worship.  So we do not see singing as a warm up for the message.  It is worship even as the message itself is worship.  We usually have a time of Praise and Prayer to encourage each of us with what God is doing in our lives individually.  There will be times of prophecy, as well as all the gifts that God has given us through Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12-14).  We end with a time of response, often through the opening of the altar for anyone to respond to how Holy Spirit has been moving in their hearts throughout the morning, especially through the message given.  The message is practical, biblical and applicable to our everyday lives.

Our Worship Teams are lead on a weekly rotation by are friends from Christ Church Kirkland: Tyler McCuen, Chris Moody, Tom Hallstrom, Jared Crealock, Jeff Kline, Joel Maher, and Tong Pineda. Our teams are committed to worshiping and praising God, bringing along as many people as possible into the throne room of God.

If you are musically gifted and are interested in being a member of a Worship Team, please contact our Worship Coordiator Ashley Snyder.  We can always use more musicians: Percussion/drums, guitars (bass, acoustic, electric), keyboards – or other instruments like saxophone, brass instruments, strings, as long as you can play somewhat skillfully, we just might be interested.  We need Sound Techs as well.  Our Coordinator of our Sound Ministry, Ed Gronenthal, is willing to train you if ministering as a sound tech is something the Lord is placing on your heart.  It’s a ministry that includes our Worship, but carries over to weddings and memorials as well as our seminars.  Please contact Pastor Russ.
